  1. You researched lots into Wayne Mcgregor and this is clear in the vlog. How will you use his creative processes in your piece?

    1. Thank you for your comment Megan. My piece will include motifs created in a similar way to McGregor's creative process, this will be done by selecting words to do with my stimulus and then spell the words through my body whether this be literally or viewing the letters as 3D objects that I must get around.

  2. Great first attempt at creating a Vlog for your blog, good work. Something to think about when developing future vlogs is to engage with the audience and your confidence when speaking in front of the camera. You could also further discuss the specific creative process used by Wayne McGregor. Overall though, a well thought out and structured vlog.

  3. Thank you for your comment Miss Norman. I will work on engaging more and also building up my confidence whilst talking tenth camera and hopefully this will be evident in my next vlog. To elaborate on McGreogor's creative process, he sees the choreographic process to be a collaborative process between the body and the mind and also believes that this shouldn't be done alone. These people that he collaborates with can be designers, visual artists and scientists to build on his own creative process. He prefers to physically think and perform movements and then allow the dancers to interpret these movements.

  4. Reflecting back, was there anything you felt you wanted to find out about your chosen choreographer?

    1. Thank you for your comment, looking back I feel like I would've liked to research what Mcgregor does when he get's stuck with choreography. Even though a lot of his choreographic process is all about collaboration I wondered whether he has ever had times when he has found it difficult to choreograph or think of movements. If he has then I'd be intrigued to find out how he tackles these situations for example by talking to more people about the stimulus or whether he leans on his dancers more to help him create movements.

  5. Well done Niamh, this is a very clear vlog and you went into a good amount of detail. I was wondering what led you to chose Wayne McGregor over the other practitioners?

    1. Thank you for your comment Lucy, I chose Wayne McGregor as I felt that his creative process was the most similar to mine in the way that we're both quite visual with our process. In addition to this, I am very interested in science and also the psychology of our society and McGregor bases lots of his pieces on these things.
